Redemption Instructions
You must arrive 30 minutes prior the departure. Meeting point : 1 rue de la Légion d’Honneur 75007 Paris at PARIS SEINE La Marina - Port de Solférino - Quai Anatole France (opposite the Museé d'Orsay) at the bottom of the stairs leading to the Seine river, where the Promenade Edouard Glissant is. Nearest Metro : Assemblée Nationale or Solférino (line 12) or Orsay museum (RER C) Elegant attire is required (tie and jacket not mandatory) no shorts, no short-pants
Itinerary
1. As your Seine river cruise glides gently along the water, one of the most striking landmarks you’ll pass is the magnificent Musée d'Orsay. Housed in a former Beaux-Arts railway station built for the 1900 World’s Fair, the museum stands proudly on the Left Bank, its grand façade reflecting beautifully in the river.
2. As your boat cruises along the Seine, you’ll pass one of Paris’s most iconic landmarks, the Louvre. Stretching elegantly along the Right Bank, the Louvre’s vast and ornate façade is a breathtaking sight from the water. Originally a royal palace, its architecture reflects centuries of French history, from medieval fortifications to classical grandeur.
3. As you sail past the heart of Paris, the grand expanse of Place de la Concorde comes into view. Located at the eastern end of the Champs-Élysées, this historic square is one of the city's most impressive open spaces. From the Seine, you can see its elegant layout, framed by classical buildings, fountains, and the towering Luxor Obelisk, a 3,300-year-old gift from Egypt that rises proudly at the center.
4. As your cruise continues along the Seine, the shimmering glass and steel dome of the Grand Palais comes into view. Nestled between the Champs-Élysées and the riverbank, this monumental structure is a masterpiece of Beaux-Arts architecture, built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle.
5. No Seine river cruise is complete without the breathtaking moment when the Eiffel Tower comes into view. Rising gracefully above the city, this iconic iron structure stands as the ultimate symbol of Paris. Designed by Gustave Eiffel and completed in 1889 for the World’s Fair, the tower remains a marvel of engineering and elegance.
6. As your boat approaches the Eiffel Tower, you’ll pass beneath the elegant Pont d’Iéna, one of Paris’s most iconic bridges. Commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1807 to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Jena, the bridge connects the Left Bank’s Champ de Mars with the Trocadéro Gardens on the Right Bank.
7. As your cruise winds its way down the Seine, you’ll spot a surprising and familiar figure—the Statue of Liberty. Standing proudly on the Île aux Cygnes, this smaller replica of New York’s famous monument is a symbol of the historic friendship between France and the United States.
8. As your boat glides past the Eiffel Tower, look across the Seine to the hilltop terraces of the Trocadéro. Set on the Right Bank, this elegant area offers one of the most iconic viewpoints in Paris. The centerpiece is the Palais de Chaillot, with its sweeping wings and grand columns framing the Eiffel Tower perfectly.
9. As your boat sails past the Île de la Cité, the striking silhouette of the Conciergerie comes into view—one of Paris’s most impressive medieval landmarks. With its pointed towers, arched windows, and stone façade rising directly from the riverbank, it’s a powerful reminder of the city’s royal and revolutionary past.
10. As your boat glides past the Île de la Cité, the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral stands proudly restored, once again dominating the Paris skyline. After years of careful reconstruction, its iconic spire, towers, and flying buttresses are fully revealed in their former glory.
