Itinerary

1. Your adventure begins in central Rome, where you'll meet your tour leader and board a private, air-conditioned bus. As you settle in for the scenic drive, sit back and relax—your guide and driver will handle all the details as you journey toward the ruins of Pompeii.
Duration: 210 mins
2. Arriving at Pompeii, you'll meet your expert archaeologist guide for an in-depth tour of the ancient ruins. You and your small group of 18 people maximum will explore this once-thriving Roman city, perfectly preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You’ll walk the same streets that Romans once did in silence before the daytime crowds arrive, peeking into shops, temples, and even a brothel—each frozen in time.
Duration: 180 mins
3. After your Pompeii adventure, you’ll hop back on the bus for a scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast, widely regarded as one of the world’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, straight to Positano (tours from April through October). As a small group traveling by private mini bus, you'll save time compared to larger tour groups that need to switch to smaller vehicles to traverse the road. The views of cliffside towns, turquoise waters, and lush hillsides are beyond compare.
Duration: 60 mins
4. Explore the pastel-colored resort town perched on the cliffs that has inspired legendary writers such as Shelley, Goethe, and Steinbeck. After an introduction from your guide, with some tips on where to eat lunch and shop, you’ll have a few hours of free time to do as you please before the journey back to Rome. Please note: In the low season (November through March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.
Duration: 120 mins
5. After an unforgettable day of history, beauty, and relaxation, you’ll board for a relaxing journey back to Rome. Reflect on the stunning sights of Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and Sorrento, all while relaxing in comfort as your guide ensures your smooth return to the city.
Duration: 210 mins
