Driving Through Chinatown Bangkok As you drive through Yaowarat, Bangkok’s famous Chinatown, you’ll see rows of gold shops, Chinese temples, traditional shophouses, and bright neon signs that light up the street at night. Even just passing by, the lively atmosphere and cultural charm make it unforgettable.
3. Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original
Pak Klong Talad is the largest flower market in Bangkok, open 24 hours a day. Here you’ll find endless rows of fresh roses, orchids, marigolds, and lotus flowers, along with decorative plants and floral arrangements. It’s a colorful, fragrant spot that shows the vibrant spirit of Thai culture—especially lively at night when the market is busiest.

The Giant Swing was constructed in 1784 in front of the Devasathan shrine by King Rama I. During the reign of Rama II the swing ceremony was discontinued as the swing had become structurally damaged by lightning. In 1920 it was renovated and moved to its current location in order to make space for a gas plant. The ceremony was again performed until 1935, when it was discontinued after several fatal accidents.
