Itinerary
1. Visit Zaanse Schans Windmill Village with its 4 traditional wooden windmills and unique green wooden houses, recreating the atmosphere of the 18th/19th century village. Lasts about 2 hours and includes demonstrations visiting a cheese factory and a wooden shoe factory.
2. Visit a real Dutch farm with sheep and cattle. Here you will learn how we make cheese. Afterwards, you will taste more than 20 of the best Dutch cheeses and have the opportunity to buy cheese.
3. Visit a wooden shoe factory, learn about the history of traditional Dutch wooden shoes, try on wooden shoes and feel the feeling of wearing wooden shoes. Have some free time to buy souvenirs.
4. Discover a Dutch village only accessible by boat on a day trip to Giethoorn from Amsterdam. Experience the "Venice of the Netherlands" where there are no main roads and all transport is on the water of the many canals.
