Overview
Bonjour! I’m Quentin, a Parisian passionate about sharing French culture with foreigners. ⭐ After 3 years guiding in Lyon, I'm back in my hometown Paris... And I can't wait to show you around! One street away from the crowds, discover a living Paris that still feels like a village ❤️ From the Cathedral that inspired Victor Hugo to the home where he once lived, this walk connects 2,000 years of history with authentic local life. Let's discover the places I believe you shouldn’t miss - Notre-Dame Cathedral: how it became a symbol of Paris thanks to Victor Hugo. - Secret courtyards and medieval houses (somehow still standing). - Fashion icon: Le Marais is the beating heart of Paris — where next year’s trends start today. - Revolutions & WWII: look up! Cannonballs and bullet marks still visible. - Jewish history and memory in the heart of the city. Jokes included (free of charge)! Experience the city like a local, with insider tips (I know half of the waiters).
Meeting and Pickup
Meeting Point: Place Saint-Jean, 69005 Lyon (Directly in front of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral. By the little fountain!) How to Spot Me: I’ll be standing by the small fountain in the center of the square, wearing a beret and holding a blue notebook.
End Point
We finish the tour in front of Victor Hugo’s house, after beginning at Notre-Dame — the setting of his most famous novel. You’ll end the tour in the heart of several lively Parisian neighborhoods, with plenty of great lunch options for every budget and taste.

Itinerary
1. We start right next to the legendary Notre-Dame Cathedral. ⚠️ The tour begins at 10:30, but if you arrive around 10:00, you’ll have time to visit the interior while it’s still quiet in the morning before the crowds arrive.
2. Paris’ City Hall stands as a witness to revolutions, fires, and rebirth.
3. A peaceful place of memory, dedicated to the resilience of Paris after the 2015 attacks. Here, we talk about modern Paris. Its spirit, its cafés, and the way life always returns to the streets.
4. Hidden between modern façades, these crooked medieval houses remind us that Paris was once a small village.
5. A powerful stop that connects medieval Paris to the stories of the 20th century and today’s living neighbourhood.
6. One of the most impressive medieval buildings in Paris, still marked by a real cannonball stuck in its wall
7. A true slice of local life. We’ll see Parisians playing pétanque and if they are not here, we'll play ourselves!
8. A small village within the city, where quiet streets, historic churches, and local cafés show a softer, more intimate side of Paris.
9. Fragments of the medieval wall built by King Philippe Auguste reveal how Paris grew from a fortified town into a global capital.
10. Step inside a hidden Renaissance courtyard, a secret passage that feels frozen in time. Favorite shorcut of my mother :)
11. Our grand finale: the oldest planned royal square in Paris
12. We finish the tour in front of Victor Hugo’s house, after beginning it at Notre-Dame — the setting of his most famous novel.
