1. Las Islas Ballestas
Begin your adventure with an unforgettable two-hour motorboat excursion to the Ballestas Islands, often called “the Galápagos of Peru.” On your way, you’ll stop briefly to see the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph — a massive figure etched into the desert hillside whose origins remain unknown. As you reach the islands, you’ll be surrounded by abundant wildlife, including Humboldt Penguins, Peruvian Pelicans, Boobies, Cormorants, and Inca Terns.
