St. Johns Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve is North Florida's first and only garden and nature preserve With over 400 species of palm. Our founder is well known throughout our community and has written various books and teachings on amphibians and reptiles and has been a regular contributor to the Palmateer regarding different species of palms. Over the last 20 years he has compiled a large and diverse collection of palms that have now become the core of the collection at the St Johns botanical garden, this is the largest collection of palms north of Orlando and makes the St, Johns Botanical Garden a unique place to visit.
