2. Tam Cốc-Bich Dộng
Experience Tam Coc Ecotourism with a relaxing two-hour sampan boat ride along the Ngo Dong River. Known as the “Halong Bay on land,” Tam Coc is home to three natural limestone caves. The journey offers tranquil views of rice fields, limestone mountains, and ancient temples, passing through Hang Ca (first cave), Hang Hai (second cave), and Hang Ba (third cave).

Visit Mua Cave (Hang Mua), one of the most popular attractions in Ninh Binh. Walk along the pathway to Lying Dragon Mountain and ascend around 500 steps to the summit viewpoint. The climb is steep and takes approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on individual ability.

The capital later remained under the Early Le Dynasty before being moved to Thang Long (modern-day Hanoi) by King Ly Thai To in 1010. Today, visitors can explore two historic temples built on the grounds of the former royal palace, honoring King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, and gain deeper insight into Vietnam’s early feudal history.
