Overview

Welcome to the beating heart of Rome! Discover the Hidden Corners of the Eternal City. The private tour will begin with a nice stroll around the flower market in Campo de’ Fiori, the living square by definition. Continuing the walking you will find yourself surrounded by the historically popular houses of the Jewish Ghetto, a fascinating ancient Jewish district where you will admire the Synagogue and the beautiful fountain of Turtles. A little farther on, you will cross the old pedestrian bridge of Ponte Sisto on the way to the most picturesque neighborhood of Rome, Trastevere, a magic place with plenty of traditional restaurants and cafès in which you will discover, hidden by the narrow cobblestone streets, the stunning Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere.

1. Campo De' Fiori
Discover Campo de’ Fiori, the very heart of the Eternal City. Presided over by the statue of the brooding Giordano Bruno who was burnt at the stake in 1600 for heresy, it hosts the city’s most colourful street market. At night Campo de’ Fiori becomes very active with its square-side cafés, pubs and bars. Listen to the many stories from your personal story teller and ask tips on the very best places where to have an Italian Aperitivo or a traditional Dinner.

2. Statua di Giordano Bruno
The Statue of Giordano Bruno, created by Ettore Ferrari, was erected at Campo de' Fiori in Rome, Italy, in 1889.
3. Roman Ghetto
At the heart of Rome lies Via del Portico d’Ottavia which gives access to the Jewish Neighborhood: a street peppered with medieval homes, kosher food stores, and restaurants serving Jewish specialties...an area where you can truly get a taste of yesterday's ghetto and today’s Rome. The Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere is a titular minor basilica in the Trastevere district of Rome, and one of the oldest churches of Rome. The basic floor plan and wall structure of the church date back to the 340s, and much of the structure to 1140-43. The first sanctuary was built in 221 and 227 by Pope Callixtus I and later completed by Pope Julius I. The church has large areas of important mosaics from the late 13th century by Pietro Cavallini
