Overview
Strategic Start: Maximum History, Minimum Traffic. Your day starts with a strategic departure directly from the historic Appian Way (Via Appia Antica). This optimization allows you to skip stressful city traffic, focusing solely on the history and nature of the archaeological parks. You'll save time and effort, making the experience safer and more enjoyable. Guided Exploration & Engineering Marvels: After collecting your E-Bike, follow your local expert along the millenary basoli road. Your first stop reveals the scale of Roman engineering at the magnificent Aqueduct Park, where the massive arches of the Acquedotto Claudio create a timeless, iconic backdrop. The Climax: VR Immersion: The tour culminates at the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella. Here, an included Virtual Reality (VR) viewing brings history alive, showing the monument and the Caetani Castle exactly as they appeared 2000 years ago. An effortless E-Bike adventure blending history, technology, and the serene Roman countryside.

Group tours require a minimum of 4 participants to commence. If this number is not met, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.
Tours are capped at a maximum of 8 guests per guide to ensure an intimate and personalized experience. We prioritize keeping booking groups together and may occasionally add 1–2 extra guests. Tours may also run with fewer than six participants.
Approximately 90% of this tour takes place on the ancient Roman basolato (cobblestones) of the Appian Way (Via Appia Antica), with no vehicular traffic.
A minimum level of cycling experience is required. Please note that the Appian Way is paved with ancient Roman basoli (cobblestones), not asphalt, which requires competence to avoid falls. Only two brief crossings on roads open to light traffic are necessary (to access the Aqueduct and Caffarella Parks).
A short assessment test will be conducted before departure. The guide reserves the absolute right to deny admission to any participant deemed unsuitable due to lack of ability or health concerns. No refund will be issued in such cases.
Upon return, guests will have the option to stop and purchase food at a nearby self-service/cafeteria restaurant (tavola calda).
Infants (under 20 kg/44 lbs): Travel free of charge in a provided child seat.
Children (under 139 cm/4 ft 7 in): Must use a child extension (trailer or tag-along bike).
E-Bike Operation: Children must be at least 12 years old to operate their own E-Bike.
In the case of official/public celebrations and events in the center of the city of Rome, the tour operator can replace one or more of the highlights of the itinerary.
