Itinerary
1. Villa Borghese
Villa Borghese of Rome is one of the largest urban parks in Europe. During the 19th century the park received a major overhaul and converted to the English style with various ponds and fountains.

2. Piazza del Popolo
Piazza del Popolo is a very well-known square in Rome, with the porta Flaminia North gate of Rome.

3. Mausoleo di Augusto
The Mausoleum of Augustus in Rome, a large circular tomb is a key monument for exploring the reuse, reinterpretation, and rediscovery of antiquities over time, and it has a long, complex history that continues to resonate today.
4. Column of Marcus Aurelius
The Column of Marcus Aurelius and Faustina which stands in Piazza Colonna in Rome is thought to have been erected by Commodus in memory of his father and mother sometime around 180 CE.
The column carries representations carved in high relief of the emperor's successful military campaigns against the Quadi across the Danube between 172 and 175 CE.

5. Piazza Venezia / Ancient City
Located between Via del Corso and Via dei Fori Imperiali, Piazza Venezia derives its shape from the remaking of the area, which took place at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, for the construction of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II.

This striking museum showcases the Mercati di Traiano (Trajan's Markets), the emperor Trajan's towering 2nd-century complex, while also providing a fascinating introduction to the Imperial Forums with multimedia displays, explanatory panels and a smattering of archaeological artefacts.

The Circus Maximus in Rome (Circo Massimo), located between the Aventino and Palatine Hills, was an extended precinct with space for 300,000 spectators.

LONG BEFORE THE MODERN LIE detector and its harmlessly jittering graphs and wires were invented, the superstitious and untruthful faced a much more severe fate between the jaws of the Bocca della Verità, or Mouth of Truth, an ancient carving which is said to bite the hands off of liars.

10. Tempio Di Ercole Vincitore
The Temple of Hercules is the only surviving sacred structure in ancient Rome that was made of Greek marble. Located in the Forum Boarium on the eastern bank of the Tiber, it is one of the oldest extant buildings in the city and is thought to be the work of the Greek architect Hermodoros of Salamina.

LOCATED IN THE ANCIENT FORUM Boarium near the Tiber river, the Temple of Portunus is a well-preserved example of ancient Roman architecture. The temple overlooked the fluvial port of Rome, watching over the goods entering the city.
12. Teatro di Marcello
The theatre of Marcellus was the largest and most important theatre in Rome and completed in the late 1st century BCE during the reign of Augustus. The architecture of the theatre would become a standard feature of theatres across the empire and influence the façades of such iconic buildings as the Colosseum.
13. Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
Piazza Navona is one of the most beautiful and famous squares in the centre of Rome. In 86 CE, emperor Domitian commissioned this square with its unique, elongated shape. This shape is the result of its original function as the stadium for athletics competitions (Circus Agonalis) with stands for 20,000 spectators.
The Pantheon is one of the most majestic architectural and historical sites in the heart of Rome. Dated about the early second century AD, it is one of the best-preserved historic buildings and testifies Roman building techniques’ superiority. Its dome with its unique central hole, the “oculus,” is the greatest ever built in masonry. The Pantheon is one of Rome’s best attractions and is one of the Italian capital’s architectural masterpieces.

14. Trevi Fountain
Trevi Fountain is considered a late Baroque masterpiece, a genuine pearl among hundreds of different fountains in Rome. Trevi Fountain is arguably the best known of the city’s numerous fountains. It was designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762. According to legend, those who toss coins into its waters will return to Rome!

15. Spanish Steps
The Piazza di Spagna one of the most-visited squares in Rome. The name originates from the Palazzo di Spagna, the Spanish Embassy’s seat for the Vatican found on this plaza since the seventeenth century. The Spanish Steps is a preferred spot among tourists to relax, sit, and enjoy the scenes of Piazza di Spagna.
