Both sell out weeks in advance, and booking logistics can be complex. Your expert English-speaking guide leads a small group of no more than 20 through the Vatican's gallery halls, into the Sistine Chapel, and across the Roman Forum before stepping inside the ancient amphitheater. Between these two landmarks, a guided walk takes in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon exterior, and the Trevi Fountain, with private transportation connecting the Vatican to the city center so there is no navigating public transit mid-day. This tour is ideal for first-time visitors to Rome who want to cover the city's essential sights in one well-paced day, with all logistics handled.

• It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, and missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded. • Both men and women must cover their knees, shoulders, and toes for entry into the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Guests who do not comply may be refused entry. • A valid government-issued ID is required for entry into the Colosseum and Vatican Museums. The name on your ticket must match the name on your ID exactly, or you will be refused entry. • Please be aware that all guests must pass through security screening at both the Vatican and the Colosseum, regardless of ticket type. • On Wednesdays and during Vatican events, entry to the outside of St. Peter's Basilica may not be possible. You will be notified if this affects your tour date. • Depending on your assigned Colosseum entry time, the order of the Roman Forum and Colosseum visits may be reversed. The order of the Vatican and Colosseum portions may also change depending on ticketing. • Large bags, backpacks, luggage, tripods, large umbrellas, and perfume bottles cannot be brought into the Colosseum nor the Vatican. There is no coat check or space on-site to leave your belongings. IMPORTANT: During State visits or special religious events, there may be unexpected closings of different parts of the Vatican. We will do our best to inform you on time of possible closings. In the event that an area normally covered on the tour is closed, our guide will still provide the explanation and will show you an extra site or gallery to compensate for the closure.
