4. An optional detour can take you to Crystal Cave, a marble karst cave beloved by intrepid explorers.
5. Then there's the Giant Forest Museum, home to one of the park's largest trees and a quick and easy trail which shows off some seriously impressive flora.
6. Next up is the Generals Highway Lookout, a popular spot boasting panoramic views.
7. Just beyond Hanging Rock Trail, you'll come to Moro Rock, a must-see spot. Here, you can climb stairs carved into the rock to reach an overlook like no other.
8. Up next are a group of trails which can take you to the historic abodes of Squatter's Cabin and Tharp's Log, long abandoned but still full of cool history.
9. Following the trail will lead you to General Sherman, the world's largest tree. At 275 feet tall and over 36 feet in diameter, this is a sight you won't soon forget!
10. Continuing on, you'll pass the trailhead leading to Big Baldy, a mountain peak overlooking the beautiful Redwood Canyon.
11. Also by General Sherman, you'll have the chance to hike the Congress Trail, which takes you to another of the park's most impressive groves.
12. Then there's the Redwood Mountain Overlook, which looks out across one of the largest redwood groves in the world.

16. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the 20-foot high Chicago Stump, all that’s left of a once-mighty, 3,200-year-old sequoia.
17. Then there's Boyden Cavern, a marble cave which boasts unique and fascinating mineral formations.
