Overview
This bus tour takes you from Vienna to Salzburg, where you will visit the most popular sights of the city and some of the original filming locations of the film "The Sound of Music". On the tour there will be a picture stop at Salzkammergut and a guided walking tour through the old town of Salzburg, passing Mozart's Birthplace, Mirabell Palace, Salzburg Cathedral and the Festival Hall. All the tours will be carried out in small groups with all the necessary COVID-19 health and safety measures.
Redemption Instructions
• Please show your voucher printed or on your mobile upon boarding the bus. • You must contact Vienna Sightseeing Tours at least 24 hours before departure to arrange your pick up from selected hotels. Either you contact office@viennasightseeing.at or call them +43 1 712 46 83. If your hotel is outside of Vienna, you must make your own way to the activity meeting point: Vienna State Opera House. • Children must be accompanied by an adult • Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility to cancel after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet the requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative tour or full refund • Regrettably, most tours are unsuitable for wheelchairs due to inadequate access to ancient historic sites. At least one person has to accompany the wheelchair and be able to give active assistance when necessary. • Hotel pickups commence prior to this time (We will confirm the exact pickup time from your hotel the day before your tour. Itinerary
1. Your tour will begin with pickup from your central Vienna hotel or the State Opera. Meet your expert guide and hop aboard your coach to begin your day trip to Salzburg.
2. During the bus ride you will get a first impression of the beauty of the Salzkammergut with its clear lakes and majestic mountains.
3. Explore the Old Town on a walking tour with your guide.
4. See the famous street in Salzburg. Here you can also find Wolfang Amadeus Mozart's Birthplace.
5. Admire the gardens as you continue through Mirabell Palace, where several scenes from The Sound of Music were filmed.
6. Your Salzburg day trip will conclude with a scenic drive back to Vienna, passing through the Fortress Hohensalzburg.
