Itinerary
1. Visit the world famous beautiful historic town - birthplace of The Bard - William Shakespeare. Explore the charming streets, shops and cafes. Stroll along the River Avon. Visit Shakespeare's birthplace if you wish, and see the impressive Royal Shakespeare Company theatre. Your guide will take you on a guided drive through the town pointing out it's most historic features.
2. Explore the buzzing Henley Street - home to William Shakespeare and family in the 16th century.
3. You'll have the chance to enter the house where William Shakespeare was born back in 1564 - resorted to it's 16 century character.
4. Visit the 800 year old church where Shakespeare is buried alongside family members and the opportunity to see Shakespeare's grave. Please note this is a working church and can close at no notice on occasion.
5. Our drive through the Cotswolds lets you experience the most beautiful and picturesque countryside anywhere in England. Rolling lush green hills, dotted with charming stone cottages. Fields, hedgerows, wildlife & flowers, this part of the country is stunning. We enter the Cotswolds around 20 minutes after leaving Stratford and don't leave the area until around 20 minutes before reaching Oxford later in the afternoon.
6. Explore this historical Cotswolds market square in the famous and beautiful Cotswolds town of Stow on the Wold. Perhaps enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake from a local bakery, or have a browse in one of the many antique shops around the square.
7. Visit "England's most beautiful village" - as described by historic style champion William Morris. The is the ultimate in Cotswolds beauty. A perfect charming village with small stone cottages and a babbling trout filled brook running right through the heart of the village. View the "Arlington Row" a famous row of stone cottages built in the 14th century, over 600 years ago. Take photos you will treasure forever.
8. Admire the Cotswolds most famous and most beautiful row of stone cottages, set in the exquisite backdrop of England's most beautiful village - Bibury.
9. Walk amongst Oxford University's most famous, historic and beautiful buildings. Join your guide on a 45 minute walking tour to see some of Oxford's highlights and hear stories of the English speaking world's oldest university and some of the characters it has produced over the last 900+ years.
10. Oxford's most famous and breath-taking view, the domed historic university building of Radcliffe Camera set in the stunning Radcliffe Square. Oxford's most famous and admired view.
