Upon arriving at Vitznau by boat, seamlessly transition to the connecting train that will whisk you to the summit of majestic Mount Rigi. Take a leisurely stroll, approximately 35 minutes, or opt for the hourly train descent to Rigi Kaltbad. At this place, where relaxation knows no bounds, no reservations or time constraints are required. From the tranquil Kaltbad, set your journey back by catching the sustainable cogwheel train return to Vitznau at 15:15, 16:15, or 17:15 to connect with the boat ride back to Lucerne. Alternatively, take the cable car at 16:10, 16:40, 17:10, or 17:40, from Kaltbad bound for Weggis. Should inclement weather or maintenance caused the closure of the cable car, the train to Vitznau stands ready as an alternative.
