Begin your journey at the 1100 Altitude Wetland, a high-mountain ecosystem protected under the Ramsar Convention, nestled on the slopes of Mt. Relax at the serene Cheonjiyeon Falls, whose name means “the pond where heaven and earth meet.” Cool air rises from the cascading water, creating a refreshing atmosphere surrounded by lush subtropical forest. Designated as a UNESCO Global Geopark site, the area is geologically significant for its dual volcanic cliff formations and serves as a natural habitat for both rare subtropical trees and the giant mottled eels that live in its clear waters.
