Itinerary

1. Grand Canyon South Rim
Step beyond the viewpoints and into the Grand Canyon as the light begins to soften across the landscape. This guided sunset experience is designed to slow things down and help you truly take in the scale, silence, and beauty of the canyon. We’ll meet on the South Rim and head to a carefully chosen trail that offers a deeper perspective than the crowded overlooks. As we hike along the rim and slightly below it, your guide will share insights into the canyon’s geology, ecology, and human history—pointing out fossils, ancient rock layers, and stories most visitors miss. We’ll pause at scenic viewpoints to take in sweeping vistas of the inner canyon and Colorado River far below. As the sun sets, we’ll settle into a prime location to watch the canyon glow in reds, oranges, and purples. Enjoy light snacks and time to relax, take photos, or simply sit in the quiet. As dusk settles, we’ll return along the trail under soft twilight, wrapping up an unforgettable evening
Duration: 120 mins
2. South Kaibab Trail
Experience the Grand Canyon from one of its most iconic ridgelines on this guided sunset hike along the South Kaibab Trail. Known for its expansive, unobstructed views, this trail quickly drops you below the rim, offering a dramatic perspective that few visitors get to experience. We’ll begin at the South Rim and descend along the ridge, taking in panoramic views of the canyon unfolding in every direction. Your guide will share insights into the canyon’s geology, ecology, and human history while pointing out key features like Ooh Aah Point and the layered rock formations that define this landscape. As the sun begins to set, we’ll pause at a scenic overlook to watch the canyon transform with color—walls glowing in deep reds, oranges, and purples as shadows stretch across the inner gorge. Enjoy light snacks and time to take photos or simply sit with the moment before we hike back up in the calm of dusk, often under soft twilight skies.
