1. Kellum-Noble House
Welcome to the Sights of Downtown Houston audio-walking tour! Davis will be your audio tour guide while you explore the history, art and culture of Houston, America's fourth largest city. It's fitting then that we'll start right here at one of Houston's oldest homes, the Kellum-Noble House, which was built in 1847.
2. The Heritage Society at Sam Houston Park
The museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of Houston and the surrounding area. Within this complex, you'll find a number of historic buildings.
3. Old Place Cabin
The cabin is believed to be one of the oldest surviving structures in Houston, and is an important part of the city's history and cultural heritage. We'll tell you some of its history.
4. Nichols-Rice-Cherry House
That's right, the house with three names! Don't worry though, it'll all make sense when we tell you about why!
5. Sam Houston Park
Sam Houston Park was established in 1900 as Houston's first public park.
6. Houston City Hall
You'll hear some of the history behind the Houston City Hall, a prominent feature of the city's skyline.
7. Julia Ideson Building
This historic building was named after Julia Bedford Ideson, the first librarian of the Houston Public Library.
8. Hobby Center for the Performing Arts

9. Bob Lanier Public Works Building
This building serves as the headquarters for the Public Works and Engineering Department of the City of Houston.

This Art-Deco building joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and is considered a significant example of early 20th century commercial architecture here in Houston.
