Itinerary

Your private tour starts with pickup from your hotel, then head to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza. This project was directed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid showcasing its curvaceous structure and its silvery façade. It was inaugurated in 2014 and comprises multiple undulating levels of gallery, exhibition hall, design shops and event hall. The newest landmark of the Korean industry also includes history and culture park showcasing museums highlighting the past, such as Joseon dynasty 16th century military camp where historical treasures were found during construction.   Jangchungdan Park is next on the agenda. Before becoming a park, it was a shrine made in memory of Korean soldiers who died trying to protect Gyeongbok Palace from the Japanese invasion. The shrine was removed by the Japanese occupation and Jangchungdan was renovated into a park in 1919. Today, visitors can find many statues and memorials in this cute park. Have lunch after. After lunch, visit the Seoul City Wall Museum. Formerly protecting the capital of Joseon dynasty, it was built in 1396 and has been rebuilt several times. It was 18km long constituting 8 gates, however only 6 gates remain today. Nowadays, Koreans walk on the path of the fortress to enjoy Seoul view along with its beautiful mountain. Visit the Seoul City Wall Museum to have a closer look on the historical story of the wall. The museum displays historical artifacts related to the change who have been operated on the city and it is also showcasing permanent exhibition hall, special ones too, and multi-purpose lecture room. From the Naksan Fortress, the Ihwa Mural Village is an unexpected art area. Street art is everywhere, with paintings and sculptures. Ten years ago, the Government wanted to demolish the neighborhood, which was considered as unattractive, poor and aging. But the street art brought a new life to the area, welcoming artists, tourists and locals. Then, visit the “Secret” Valley, located in Seoul, a natural and historical site that has remained untouched. It’s an excellent getaway to breathe Korea’s authentic nature. The neighborhood is also a really nice place to take a stroll, and enjoy beautiful landscape. Visit a traditional tea house, Suyeonsanbang, meaning “small home in the forest where literary people used to meet”. Originally, the house belonged to the famous Korean author Lee Tae-Jun whom used it as a workshop. Particularly peaceful and charming, the tea house will offer you a unique experience to take a break and simply enjoy a traditional tea, surrounding by nature. Be dropped-off back at your hotel at approximately 5:00pm.
