After meeting in one of the city’s most iconic squares, your guide will provide a clear and engaging overview of Seville’s history and culture to help you understand the city today. You’ll see key landmarks such as the Cathedral, the Royal Alcázar of Seville, the University and the Plaza de España, while learning the stories and historical events that shaped them. This outdoor experience is ideal at the beginning of your stay. The small-group format allows for a relaxed pace, interaction and time for questions. Please note that entrance tickets are not included, as all monuments are visited from the outside. Plaza de España may be closed due to concerts or weather alerts.

Itinerary

1. Introduction of the tour and explanations about the City Hall building, example of the importance of the city in the 1500's.
2. Description of the outdoors and previous mosque, as well as the Giralda Tower. Our visitors will fully understand how different cultures and religions affected the nowadays city of Seville.
3. Seville as Port of the Indies, the trade centre of the 'New World'.
4. The oldest Royal Palace still in use of whole Europe. From the outdoors our visitors will understand the uniqueness of this place used by rulers since the 1000's.
5. The last Muslim building of the city, a watchtower that became the entry to the city from the ocean.
6. The old Tobacco factory building built in the 1700's is an example of the industrial architecture in the city.
7. The Ibero-american exhibition meant a huge change in the urbanism in the city and the best example is the host country pavilion, the Plaza de España.
