Itinerary
1. Meet your private guide in the hotel lobby in the morning to start your unforgettable journey. Your professional guide will pick up you in the morning, travel in the comfortable vehicle to Shanghai train station
2. Board the high-speed bullet train for a swift 2-hour ride to Linhai. During the journey, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your itinerary with your private guide. Your guide will provide valuable insights and tailor the day’s activities to your specific interests and preferences.
3. Arrived Linhai city, we will refill our energy first. We will travel by vehicle to a buffet restaurant that offers a variety of local delicacies, including dumplings, desserts, and more. Everyone can enjoy and replenish their energy to prepare for the upcoming activities.
4. Next Our guide will take you to tour the Chinese style garden. Donghu Garden, located in Linhai, Taizhou, is a beautiful destination renowned for its serene lakes and picturesque landscapes. The garden boasts a variety of floral displays, lush greenery, and traditional Chinese architecture. Visitors can stroll through the scenic pathways, enjoy the tranquility of the environment, and admire the well-preserved natural beauty. It’s an ideal spot for relaxation and photography, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
5. Continued to the Great Wall Scenic Area to begin your exploration. The Linhai Great Wall, also known as the “Southern Great Wall” or Jiangnan Great Wall, was initially constructed during the Jin Dynasty (317-420 AD). The designer of the Linhai Great Wall is the same person who designed the famous Badaling Great Wall in Beijing. Originally, the wall stretched 6,000 meters (19,685 feet), and today, 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) of walkable paths remain. In 2-3 hours, you can comfortably walk the entire length of the wall, immersing yourself in the historical surroundings as your friendly guide shares fascinating stories about local history and culture.
6. Next, we will explore Ziyang Old Street within the ancient city. Ziyang Old Street is a historical district of the city, featuring numerous shops and restored buildings that showcase the original architectural style of the ancient city. This area was also the venue for a Chinese New Year Gala several years ago. The street is quite long, offering a variety of local specialty gifts and foods, allowing you to spend 1-2 hours browsing the diverse shops.
7. After the wonderful excursion, take the return bullet train back to Shanghai with your guide with the convenient drop off at your Shanghai hotel or other downtown area as per your request.
