Overview

Beneath the moss-draped oaks and cobblestone streets of historic Savannah, a darker story lingers—a tale of murder, mystery, and scandal. Join us on the Savannah "Strangled, Not Stirred" True Crime Pub Crawl, where we blend chilling history with cold drinks, leading you through the Hostess City’s most notorious crime scenes while raising a glass at its most legendary pubs. This isn’t your average ghost tour. This is true crime with a buzz—a walking journey through the blood-stained pages of Savannah’s past. As we move from bar to bar, you’ll hear real-life stories of treachery, jealousy, revenge, and unsolved mysteries, all set against the backdrop of one of the South’s most beautiful (and haunted) cities.

Itinerary

1. Dub's Pub
On Savannah’s infamous River Street, beauty and brutality go hand in hand. As you make your way down the treacherous Stone Stairs of Death, once slick with sweat, rum, and maybe even blood, you’ll uncover chilling tales of smugglers, sailors, and unsolved crimes that still haunt the waterfront. Raise a glass to the darker side of Savannah’s past—where every stone has a story, and not all spirits stay in their bottles.
Duration: 20 mins
2. Johnson Square
By day, Johnson Square is a peaceful patch of history—Savannah’s oldest and grandest square. But by night, its polished past reveals a darker edge. From duels turned deadly to high-society scandals that ended in bloodshed, this square has witnessed more than just polite conversation. On our True Crime Pub Crawl, you’ll hear the chilling tales of murder and betrayal that once echoed through these moss-draped oaks—and left their mark on the city forever.
Duration: 20 mins
3. Reynolds Square
One of Savannah’s most iconic and allegedly haunted buildings, The Olde Pink House blends 18th-century elegance with a hint of the supernatural. Known for its fine dining and flickering candlelight, it exudes the Southern charm and mystery that define the city itself.
Duration: 20 mins
4. Wright Square
Don’t let the beauty fool you—Wright Square is better known by locals as “the Hanging Square.” Once the site of public executions, this historic spot saw gallows rise and justice (or vengeance) carried out in front of watching crowds. Uncover the grim fates of those who met their end here—from infamous criminals to the wrongly accused—and explore the ghostly echoes they may have left behind. Some say the dead never really left…
Duration: 20 mins
5. Factors Walk
Crumbling cobblestones, iron bridges, and looming warehouses—Factors Walk is one of Savannah’s most haunting corners, steeped in tales of crime, cruelty, and execution. Once a bustling hub for cotton merchants and shady dealings, it’s also said to be where bodies swung from ropes and dark deeds were done in silence. Descend into the shadows of Factors Walk, where ghosts of greed, betrayal, and the gallows still linger in the midnight air.
