Overview

Experience British Columbia from the air with a 40-minute flight by seaplane. On one of two daily scheduled departures, fly over the Strait of Georgia from Sechelt, traveling around this coastal region just like the locals do. You'll land on Vancouver Island for free time to enjoy the harbor city of Nanaimo before the return flight.

Our terminal is located in Porpoise Bay beside The Lighthouse Pub in the town of Sechelt. Check-in time is 40 minutes ahead of your scheduled departure.

Itinerary

1. Your journey begins at the Harbour Air Seaplanes terminal in Sechelt, where you'll board a fixed-wing seaplane for a stunning flight over the Strait of Georgia. During this 20-minute scenic flight, take in breathtaking views of coastal inlets, remote islands, and charming seaside communities scattered across the water below. 2. Touch down in Nanaimo, located on the southeastern coast of Vancouver Island. Here, you’ll enjoy flexible free time—from one to four hours—to explore the area as you wish. Whether you’re strolling along the waterfront promenade, discovering local cafés and shops, or simply relaxing by the marina, this portion of the trip invites you to create a personalized experience that fits your interests and travel style. At your chosen time, return to the Nanaimo terminal to board your seaplane for the scenic flight back to Sechelt—the perfect ending to a coastal getaway filled with natural beauty, freedom, and connection.

Passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time, and be fully checked-in 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Passengers not checked-in before the check-in cutoff times will not be able to board their scheduled flight and will not be refunded their fare.

If travelling with children, please be aware that the child fare applies to children aged 2-11 at the time of departure.

All passengers travelling must be ambulatory in order to fly. A mobility assistance device, such as a wheelchair or cane, may be used by a passenger to get from the terminal to the aircraft, however, passengers must have the ability to walk on and off the aircraft with minimal or no assistance.
