The Monumental Ensemble of the Fortress of La Mota, houses the old walled city of Alcalá la Real.This, and the different elements of military architecture of its environment, serve as reference point to know and explain the temporal and spatial process linked to the evolution of the border during the Late Middle Ages, while serving as an example of urban development in the interior of a city intramuros in the period that covers from S. 1. Fortaleza de la Mota

Currently, the Monumental Ensemble of the Fortress of La Mota, has become a monumental space of the first order, a first-class reference at the tourist and heritage level. Along with the singularity of the enclave, the thematization project was developed, which has led to the creation of the Center for the Interpretation of Life on the Border.
