Itinerary
1. [Terracotta Warriors] These Army of Terra-Cotta Warriors were supposed to safeguard Chinese first emperor – Qin Shihuang in his afterlife. He unified China in 221 BC for the first time in Chinese history and established Qin Dynasty (221–206 B.C.), thus starting China’s over 2000 years’ feudal society You are kindly reminded that Qin Shihuang’s underground palace is still there and remains intact though some of the burial sites annexing to his mausoleum have been robbed. Why his own burial site or his underground palace still intact? It is said that his tomb has solid and strict anti-gravedigging system including secret crossbows which may kill people once you are inside the tomb, and a large amount of mercury which will emit much toxic air within the tomb.
2. The Huaqing Palace, at the foot of Lishan Mountain in Xi'an, Shaanxi, has a long - standing history. Originating from the Zhou Dynasty as a royal hot spring palace, it was expanded into a magnificent imperial resort in the Tang Dynasty. The complex combines beautiful gardens, elegant palaces, and natural hot springs, blending architecture with nature perfectly. Notably, it was where Emperor Xuanzong and his concubine Yang Yuhuan enjoyed a romantic life. The Mawei Incident, a significant event in Tang history, also happened nearby. Nowadays, it draws many tourists. They can soak in hot springs, visit historical sites, and watch the show "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow", which tells the love story of the emperor and Yang Yuhuan. It's a symbol of ancient Chinese imperial culture.
3. Nestled in Xi'an, a city steeped in Tang Dynasty glory, Tang Moon Palace is a gem blending cuisine and culture. It’s famed for its Dumpling Banquet—a feast of delicate, flavorful dumplings in various shapes. While savoring the food, guests are entertained by Tang-style song and dance performances, recreating the elegance of the Tang court. Every detail, from decor to music, echoes the dynasty’s charm, offering a immersive experience of ancient Chinese culture. It’s a must-visit for anyone wanting to taste and feel the Tang spirit.
