If you have your own transportation in Juneau you can meet at the Helicopter base on Douglas Island. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or need further instructions.

Pickup Information

Passengers off Cruise Ships will meet tours at the Goldbelt Tram Base Station at 490 South Franklin Street, right by the cruise ship docks. You will meet your NorthStar representative in a white van with our logo. *Please ensure your chosen departure time is at least one hour after your cruise ship's scheduled arrival time to allow for disembarkation and travel to the meeting point.

1. Downtown Juneau

Transfer by van from downtown to the Helicport on Douglas Island

Duration: 15 mins

2. NorthStar Helicopters

Gear up, restroom break and safety briefing

Duration: 40 mins

3. Tongass National Forest

Fly over the Tongas National forest, Taku Inlet and Juneau Icefield and enjoy the breathtaking views on our way to Taku Point.

Duration: 15 mins

4. Taku Point

Land at Taku Point and take off on an hour long ride viewing the Taku Glacier by Airboat

Duration: 60 mins

5. Taku Point

Reboard your helicopter and take off the for your landing on the Taku Glacier

Duration: 5 mins

6. Taku Glacier

Land on the Glaicer and be lead by your pilot to take in the sweeping views of inspiring Taku Glacier

You should dress for a 10-15°F temperature decrease from sea level (downtown) to the glacier. We recommend that you dress in sturdy shoes, long socks, warm layers, and sunglasses.
