We meet outside by the statue of Louis XIV near the Pyramid. We will visit the Sully & Denon wings (The Renaissance Louvre Palace, Rome, Greece, Venus de Milo, Botticelli, Veronese, Mona Lisa, Titian, David, Géricault, Delacroix, Michelangelo, Canova). The artworks of the Louvre guard their secrets, so you need a guide to reveal something of their mystery. I’m an Irish artist & specialist decorator. The Louvre was once a Fortress, a Palace and was even squatted by artists at one time, now it's one of the world's greatest museums. As a professional guide my mission is to offer people insights into how to look at art, to learn how to appreciate it. As an artist, I know the craft of making art, how to draw & paint. With this knowledge I can bring an artwork to life, expand on its historical context, explain its uniqueness, sharing my knowledge on how to appreciate the style & techniques of an artist. Talking about art with humour and insight is what you get. I think I know how to transmit this passion for art to other people.
