1. Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum, stands gracefully on the right bank of the Yamuna River in Agra, India. Commissioned in 1632 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it was built to enshrine the tomb of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The monument also serves as the final resting place of Shah Jahan himself.

2. Agra Fort
Spread over a sprawling 94 acres, this massive red sandstone fort lies parallel to the Yamuna River and situated 2 kilometers northwest of the Taj Mahal. The Agra Fort (Red Fort) was originally occupied by Sikarwar Rajputs and was later captured by Lodi rulers of Delhi. In 1526, after the Lodi’s were defeated in the Battle of Panipat, the victor Emperor Babur took over the fort. After losing the fort briefly to the Suri rulers, it was eventually reclaimed by Akbar who made Agra his capital.

3. Mehtab Bagh
Mehtab Bagh, a picturesque garden on the banks of the Yamuna River, was built by Emperor Babur as the last in a series of 11 gardens along the river's eastern bank. On the way to Jaipur, the driver will take you to Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned city renowned for its architectural brilliance.
