Itinerary

1. Valley of the Kings
Start your day with a comfortable pickup from your Luxor hotel or cruise in an air-conditioned vehicle to explore the legendary Valley of the Kings, located on the West Bank — the ancient royal necropolis of Thebes. Discover the resting places of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs, including the tombs of Ramses III, Horemheb, and Merenptah, adorned with vibrant wall paintings that have survived for thousands of years.
Duration: 120 mins
2. Tomb of Ramses III
Next, you’ll explore the Tomb of Ramesses III (KV11), one of the most impressive tombs in the Valley of the Kings. This beautifully decorated burial site features vibrant wall reliefs depicting the pharaoh before the gods, along with sacred texts such as the Litany of Ra and the Book of Gates. What makes this tomb especially unique are the rare secular scenes found in its side chambers — detailed images of foreign tributes, Aegean pottery, royal weaponry, and even the famous “blind harpists,” which earned it the nickname Tomb of the Harpers.
Duration: 60 mins
3. Tomb of King Tutankhamun (KV62)
Continue your exploration with the Tomb of Tutankhamun (KV62), one of the most famous discoveries in the Valley of the Kings. This tomb belonged to the legendary boy-king of the New Kingdom, who ascended the throne at just ten years old and ruled until his death at nineteen. Inside, you’ll find the remarkably well-preserved royal mummy of Tutankhamun himself, resting in his original sarcophagus, along with the vibrant wall paintings that depict his journey to the afterlife a true highlight for any visitor to Luxor. After completing your visit to the Valley of the Kings, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel in Luxor.
Duration: 60 mins
