Immerse yourself in the silence of the Atacama Desert and discover one of the most beautiful night skies on Earth. A short drive from San Pedro de Atacama, far from the village lights, millions of stars appear above you and the Milky Way stretches across the desert sky. The Roofless Experience is a small-group astronomical experience that combines telescope observation, astronomical storytelling and a relaxed atmosphere under the stars. With 4 powerful telescopes, you’ll observe stars, nebulae, star clusters and southern constellations as your guide explains the science and history behind the cosmos in an engaging and accessible way. In between observations, relax under the stars with a glass of wine, hot chocolate or tea and rich snacks, warmed with warm blankets. To complete the night, each guest receives a professional photo under the Atacama sky, capturing a unique memory under one of the most spectacular skies on the planet.

Pickup Information

The tour begins with the pickup of passengers from the accommodation, this usually takes approximately 30 minutes, then we will travel to our facility about 7km outside San Pedro where our guide will wait for you. - We do not offer pick-up from accommodation outside of the urban area of San Pedro, this is for example the Ayllus such as Coyo, Beter, Sequitor, Quitor, Solor or Tulor.
