1. Strahov stadium

At Strahov Stadium, travelers will stop at one of the most extraordinary and historically layered sites in Prague. This vast complex, once the largest stadium in the world, reflects the dramatic changes the city has undergone throughout the 20th century. During this stop, the licensed English-speaking guide explains the stadium’s origins in the First Czechoslovak Republic, its transformation during the communist era, and its role around the time of the Velvet Revolution. The commentary provides insight into how mass events, ideology, and everyday life were shaped during these periods. Travelers will also have time to view the vintage Trabant 601 up close while hearing stories about the car’s place in Eastern European history and daily life behind the Iron Curtain. This stop offers a deeper understanding of Prague’s political past and cultural identity, with time for photos and questions before continuing the tour.

Duration: 20 mins

2. Strahov Monastery Complex

At the Strahov Monastery Complex, travelers will enjoy a short walking stop in one of Prague’s most atmospheric historic areas. From outside the monastery buildings, the licensed English-speaking guide explains the long history of the Strahov Monastery, its importance to Czech cultural life, and the world-famous libraries housed within, without entering the interiors. During the walk, travelers will also hear about the traditional Strahov Monastery Brewery and its role in local history. The route continues through the monastery grounds toward a scenic viewpoint overlooking Prague’s historic city center. From this elevated vantage point, the guide provides orientation and commentary on the city’s most important landmarks, including the historic quarters, bridges, and skyline. This stop offers excellent photo opportunities and a clear overview of Prague’s layout before continuing the tour.

Duration: 15 mins

3. Lesser Town

In Prague’s picturesque Lesser Town, travelers will explore one of the city’s most historic and atmospheric districts. After arriving in the Kampa area, the licensed English-speaking guide introduces the surroundings, including the Kafka Museum and David Černý’s famous Pissing Fountain, explaining their cultural background, symbolism, and place in modern Czech art and history. The walk then continues along the river toward Hergetova Cihelna, passing through quiet streets and scenic riverbank paths. Along the way, the guide shares stories, legends, and historical context connected to the Lesser Town and its role in Prague’s development. From a panoramic viewpoint near Hergetova Cihelna, travelers will enjoy an iconic view of Charles Bridge and the Old Town skyline. The guide provides commentary on the history, construction, and legends of Charles Bridge, offering a memorable perspective and excellent photo opportunities before the tour concludes.
