We are new on this website.But we have conducted many Yanaka tours, with many good reviews received from our customers who had enjoyed themselves.This walking tour is based on a relaxing pace so you can get a closer look at the real Japanese lifestyle and culture.It is suitable for most people with moderate fitness.You will stroll through Tokyo old local neighborhoods~Yanaka,Nezu and Sendagi.Discover old temples and shrines,buildings from the bygone era from the Meiji Period to the Taishō period and Showa period. •Usually this tour takes around 3 hours 30 minutes.But sometimes the tour may end earlier or later.So everyone can enjoy their experience strolling in this charming neighborhood with flexibility .Small group , you can get a close chat with our experienced tour guide .Experience the quieter part of old town in Tokyo Note : We are a small team of only experienced tour guides. We do not use inexperienced or irregular tour guide even during peak season .

Meet at Nippori Station . Please go to North Gate , West Exit (for Yanaka) , once you go out the exit our tour guide will wait for you at the rest area (with baggage storage coin lockers) (Please refer to the last 2 pictures for the meeting place at Nippori Station)

Itinerary

1. Nezu Shrine

Visit this historical shrine with its’ picturesque Torii-lined pathway. Get to know the religions in Japan . Learn how to pray , write your wish and get your fortune telling here .

2. Tennoji Temple

This is one of the oldest of the numerous temples in Yanaka area with its’ large, bronze, seated image of Buddha . Appreciate the calm moment in this spiritual old temple . Enjoy the beautiful garden view surrounding the temple complex .

3. Yanaka District

See the remains of the buildings from the Meiji Period , Taisho Period to Showa-period . Discover traditional old small shops that are passed down through generations . Chat with your tour guide in this small tour group while you stroll through this old neighborhood . Note : We are a small tour operator that specialize in this neighborhood . Your tour will end at Yanaka Ginza , an old shopping street . Your tour guide will introduce you the popular local street foods , Japanese desserts , Japanese souvenirs etc . You will choose what you want to eat or shop by yourself . If you are not interested in shopping or eating here , you can choose to end your tour at Nippori Station . Note : The shops here have different operating days and hours so some shops may be closed during your time of visit . Many shops are closed on Monday .

Summer season (1 June to 11 September 2026)~To avoid the danger of heat stroke due to the hot and very humid summer in Tokyo , this tour for summer season will include a stop in a cafe that is transformed from an old traditional building (one drink included) . All the places of visit will be the same (except summer season do not go to Yanaka Ginza) . The summer season tour will end at Nezu Station.
