Overview

Taipei Zoo is one of the top ten city zoos in the world. It can be reached by MRT Wenhu Line. There are more than 400 animal species in the park, the largest zoo in Southeast Asia. The display areas in the zoo are Animal Area, Children's Zoo, Insectarium, Education Center, Koala House, Panda House (Xinguang Special Exhibit House), and more. The zoo is an educational museum with life diversity that and serves a conservation area for wildlife animals.

Taipei Zoo:

- Last entry: 4:00 PM

- Taipei Zoo is closed on the Lunar New Year's Eve and late June

- Please confirm the operation status on the official website before departure at (https://www.zoo.gov.taipei/)

- 18 years old and below need to purchase tickets onsite

- Free of charge for children below 6 years old and 65 years old and above.

Maokong Gondola:

- Children under 6 years are free of charge.

- Passes for children aged 6 to 12 years and seniors aged 65 years and above may be purchased directly onsite.

- The gondola is not operational on Mondays, with the exception of the first Monday of each month.

- The gondola journey covers four stops: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and Maokong Station.
