Tips & Tricks
Build in break time before anyone melts down.
Universal has said the park will include sensory garden zones where families can cool off, decompress, and take a quieter break when the day feels overwhelming. Make these part of your plan, not just a backup. They'll likely be especially helpful after water play, shows, or busier character areas.
Pack for wet play.
Several areas include water or splash-style experiences. Bring a change of clothes, quick-dry shoes or sandals, a wet bag, and a small towel so kids can keep playing without being uncomfortable afterward.
Start with your child's must-see land.
The resort will feature themed areas based on characters many young kids already know. Pick your child's top one or two lands first so the day feels like a win even if naps, weather, or crowds change the plan.
Expect a younger-kid pace.
This is Universal's first park designed specifically for young children, so the best approach is slower and more flexible than a traditional thrill-heavy theme park day. Prioritize playgrounds, interactive shows, meet-and-greets, and sensory-friendly pauses over rushing from ride to ride.
Bring the "parent survival" basics.
For a first visit, parents will likely want: sunscreen, refillable water bottles, stroller or wagon plan, backup clothes, portable fan, hats, snacks, wipes, hand sanitizer, small comfort item, and a portable charger. Because the park is designed around play, assume kids may get wet, tired, sticky, and excited all in the same day.
