Redemption Instructions

Hi, thanks for your booking and welcome to join an exiting VIking Aae tour out of Stockholm with Sweden History Tours. We wish you a good stay and if you got any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to info@swedenhistorytours.se Things good to think of are presented here below • Bring good shoes. Have trainers, boots or something similar. Street walking shoes are also fine. No sandals or other shoes that does not cover your foot. • Pick up for your tour will be at your hotel or the cruise port (not Nynäshamn but the others) where you arrive. Hotel pick up are only for the guests who are staying in Central Stockholm (within 3 kilometers away from the Stockholm Central Station). IF you don't stay here you're welcome to a pick up point or to one of our other guest's hotel. * Please us contact at info@swedenhistorytours.se to inform us about your hotel stay if you have not already put it into your booking, we will email or text you a pick up time 1-2 days before the tour. • If a child in your reservation is less than 5 years old, please contact us prior to the booking so we can prepare a child seat/booster seat. • If possible, we would appreciate that you are reachable on a cell phone 1-2 days prior to the tour due to sending out your pick up time that way. If you know that you can not have a cell phone, please advise us on how to best contact you. E-mail us at info@swedenhistorytours.se Welcome to Stockholm • Please note that departure times may vary slightly. This depends on the amount of pick-ups and day of the week. • If you have not already specified, you MUST advise supplier as soon as possible your Ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and departure time so that appropriate arrangements can be made. • Travellers are not allowed carry-on-luggage in the tour vechicle. A back-pack or hand bag works fine though.  Hotel pickups commence prior to this time. Pick ups start 30-60 minutes prior to the depature time of the tour.

Pickup Information

We offer hotel pick up at all central hotels, ports and other accommodations within 3 km from Stockholm central station (you can use Google Maps to check your distance from Stockholm central station). If you're staying in the Old town (where it is not possible to get in by car) we may ask you to walk a few minutes to another location where we pick you up. If you are outside the pick up zone we will give you directions to a meeting place that is simple to get to with public transit. If you are unsure if you're in or out please email us after booking. Pick up normally starts at 09.00 or 09.30. For the shorter tours 3-5h 09.30 is the normal pick up time. For the longer tours, 8h:s, 09.00 is our usual pick up time for the first guests. Please note that this is flexible depending on different factors like the number of reservations, time of year and traffic conditions. We will be in touch two days in advance of a public tour with your final starting time, if you want to know beforehand or want that we arrange a fixed time for you please contact us by email. If your tour departs from a cruise pier: If your ship arrives at S165 and S167 STADSGÅRDEN: Please walk a few hundred meters away from your ship while following the BLUE/GREEN lines. Go past the fences and guards, and your guide will wait there, with a sign saying "Viking Tours" on an A4-paper. NOTE: If you enter any other harbor number in STADSGÅRDEN than S165 or S167 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. We recommend that you are available on cell phones to avoid issues during pick-up. If your ship arrives at F638 FRIHAMNEN: Upon debarking the ship, please go through the terminal building. Once you go past the sliding doors (everyone else that departs the ship will walk out this way), the guide will meet you just outside the sliding doors. The guide will be holding an A4-paper saying "Viking Tours". NOTE: If you enter any other harbor number in FRIHAMNEN than F638 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. If your ship arrives at V523 VÄRTAHAMNEN: Walk from your ship towards the tourist buses, which is less than 10 meters from the ship hull. The guide will wait for you at the tourist bus area, near the buses, with an A4-paper, which says "Viking Tours." The guide will then direct you to the tour vehicle. NOTE: If you enter any other harbor number in VÄRTAHAMNEN than V523 please go outside the fences and guards and the guide will meet you there on the time of the tour. If your ship arrives at NYNÄSHAMN: NO PICK UP INCLUDED HERE. That is due to it being 50 km away from Stockholm central station. We recommend you to contact us and decide on a meeting place in Central Stockholm. We will give directions on how to go there either by train or by taking one of the cruise buses going from the harbor into Stockholm. If unsure what pier you're coming to contact after booking with your ships name.
