3. Serapeum of Alexandria
The "Pompey Pillar," also known as Egypt's most revered memorial column, stands tall as a symbol of historical significance. Fashioned from solid red granite, this colossal structure reaches a staggering height of approximately 28 meters, while its base boasts an impressive diameter of 2.7 meters. Adorning the upper portion of the western side lies an inscription inscribed in the elegant language of Greek. This inscription pays homage to the esteemed Emperor Diocletian, known for his unwavering commitment to justice and his role as the guardian of Alexandria. It also acknowledges the monumental efforts of Postumus, the esteemed Prefect of Egypt, who oversaw the erection of this magnificent monument. It quickly became a center of learning and culture in the ancient world, and its influence extended far beyond Alexandria. The Library of Alexandria was renowned for its immense collection of books and manuscripts. It was said to have contained up to 500,000 scrolls and was one of the largest collections of knowledge in the ancient world. The library was also home to several famous scholars and thinkers, including the mathematician Euclid and the astronomer Eratosthenes.

5. Qaitbay Citadel
: The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds in Egypt and along the Mediterranean coast. In the 15th century A.D., it was essential to Alexandria's fortifications. The Citadel resides at the entrance of the eastern harbor on the east point of Pharos Island. It was erected on the site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The lighthouse continued to function until the time of the Arab conquest. Several disasters occurred, and the shape of the lighthouse was changed to some extent, but it continued to work. Restoration began during Ahmed Ibn Tulun (about 880 A.D). During the 11th century, an earthquake damaged the octagonal part. The bottom survived but could only serve as a watchtower, so a small Mosque was built on the top.
