Itinerary

1. Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkalaram Ratchaworamahaviharn
Wat Pho is widely known as the 'Temple of the Reclining Buddha'. It is not only one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok, but also one of the oldest, with origins dating back to the 16th century, long before Bangkok became Thailand’s capital. The temple is famous for its enormous reclining Buddha statue, which measures 46 metres in length and is beautifully covered in gold leaf. The statue represents the Buddha entering Nirvana and is one of the most impressive religious sculptures in Thailand. The soles of the Buddha’s feet are inlaid with intricate mother-of-pearl designs depicting sacred symbols of Buddhism. Beyond the famous statue, Wat Pho is also known for its beautifully decorated chedis, colourful murals, tranquil courtyards, and traditional Thai architecture, making it one of the most fascinating temples to explore in Bangkok. Please note : The entrance fee of THB 300 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on the day of the tour.
Duration: 90 mins
2. Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun)
Wat Arun, also known as the “Temple of Dawn,” is one of the most iconic and visually striking temples in Bangkok. Located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in the historic Thonburi district, its elegant silhouette rises majestically above the water. The temple dates back to the Ayutthaya period but gained prominence in the late 18th century when King Taksin established Thonburi as the capital of Siam after the fall of Ayutthaya. According to legend, the king arrived here at dawn, inspiring the temple’s name. Wat Arun is famous for its tall Khmer-style central prang surrounded by four smaller spires. The entire structure is decorated with colourful porcelain and ceramic fragments that sparkle in the sunlight, creating a remarkable mosaic effect. From the upper levels, visitors can enjoy beautiful views over the Chao Phraya River and Bangkok’s historic skyline. Please note : The entrance fee of THB 200 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on the day of the tour.
