Itinerary
1. Fully guided scenic walk to the lookout for spectacular views of Wineglass bay Beach and the Freycnet Peninsula. Enjoy views of Great Oyster Bay and marvel at the surrounding granite Hazards Mountains. Hear stories of the local area history and meet friendly wildlife.
2. Your journey begins with a relaxing 20-minute stop at a local bakery, just outside of Hobart — a perfect opportunity to grab a coffee and breakfast before the adventure begins.
3. From the white sandy shore of Raspins Beach, take in views of Maria Island and listen to fascinating stories of early settlement on this beautiful East Coast Island.
4. A peaceful crescent bay beach nestled between rounded granite boulders, Honeymoon bay is always a delight to visit. A beautiful spot for a picnic lunch enjoying the views of the Hazrads Mountain range. A great place for a swim in the crystal clear waters of Freycinet.
5. Short walk taking in spectacular cliff top views back towards Wineglass Bay and Mount Freycinet and north to Friendly Beaches. Spot lazing seals on The Nuggets, four nearby granite islets or during the migration season see passing whales.
6. If fresh seafood is something you fancy, we stop at Devils Corner Winery where the Freycinet Marine Farm have an outlet.
7. Indulge in an array of local seafood, wood fired pizza and wine, while enjoying spectacular views of the Hazards and Great Oyster Bay
8. Sample homemade ice cream, sweets, jams, locally grown berries and other delights. Enjoy great coffee and views back towards the Freycinet Peninsula. A perfect stop over on the trip back to Hobart.
9. Visit the historic Georgian town of Richmond. Learn the convict history and admire the picturesque Richmond Bridge, the oldest convict built bridge still in use in Australia. 20 minutes, Admission is free
10. Take in expansive views of the Derwent River and the city of Hobart, nestled under spectacular kunanyi, Mount Wellington from this eastern shore vantage point. (Some restrictions in Winter months)
