Itinerary

1. Palace of Culture and Science
Rising 237 meters above the city, this "Stalinist rocket" is Warsaw’s most iconic and controversial landmark. A "gift" from the Soviet Union in 1955, it’s a mix of Social Realism and Polish Historicism. Today, it’s a vibrant cultural hub housing theaters, cinemas, and museums. Biking around its massive base gives you a real sense of its scale before you head toward the greener parts of the city.
Duration: 15 mins
2. Saxon Gardens
Opened to the public in 1727, this is one of the oldest public parks in the world. It’s a Baroque masterpiece modeled after Versailles. As you cycle through its leafy alleys, you'll pass the grand 19th-century sundial and a magnificent fountain. It’s a peaceful green lung in the heart of the modern center, offering a perfect paved path for cyclists.
3. Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
Located under the surviving fragments of the Saxon Palace arcade, this is Poland’s most sacred memorial. It honors the millions of soldiers who gave their lives for Polish independence. An eternal flame burns here, guarded by the Representative Honor Guard of the Polish Army. If you time your bike tour right, you might witness the ceremonial changing of the guard, which happens every hour
Duration: 15 mins
4. Krakowskie Przedmiescie
Often called one of Europe’s most beautiful streets, this is the start of the Royal Route. It’s lined with aristocratic palaces, churches, and university buildings. Since much of it is restricted to buses and taxis, it’s a dream for cyclists. The wide sidewalks and historic atmosphere make you feel the "Paris of the North" vibe that Warsaw was famous for before WWII.
Duration: 20 mins
5. Monument of Nicolaus Copernicus
Sitting proudly in front of the Staszic Palace, the bronze statue of Nicolaus Copernicus honors the man who "stopped the Sun and moved the Earth." It’s a popular meeting spot at the end of Krakowskie Przedmieście. The pavement around the statue features a solar system model, so be sure to look down as you park your bike for a quick photo!
Duration: 15 mins
6. Royal Castle in Warsaw - Museum
This brick-red residence was the official home of Polish monarchs for centuries. Completely destroyed during WWII, it was meticulously rebuilt by the nation. It stands at the entrance to the Old Town, overlooking the Vistula. The Castle Square (Plac Zamkowy) with Sigismund's Column is the perfect spot to hop off your bike and soak in the majestic views.
Duration: 15 mins
7. Old Town
The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for being the only "reconstructed" historic center on the list. In the center of the Market Square stands the Warsaw Mermaid (Syrenka), the city's legendary protector. Legend says she is the sister of the Copenhagen mermaid, but this one carries a sword and shield, ready to defend the city.
Duration: 20 mins
8. Vistula Boulevards
One of the newest additions to Warsaw’s map, this striking rusty-orange pedestrian and cycle bridge connects the Old Town area with the Praga district. It’s a masterpiece of modern engineering and offers some of the best panoramic views of the city skyline. It’s a highlight for any cyclist looking to cross the river in style without the noise of car traffic.
Duration: 15 mins
9. Lazienki Krolewskie w Warszawie
The "Palace on the Isle" park is the crown jewel of Warsaw’s green spaces. This 76-hectare complex features beautiful gardens, a Roman-style amphitheater, and wandering peacocks. While you usually have to leave your bike at the gate or walk it in certain areas, the perimeter and surrounding paths offer a lush, royal finale to your ride.
