The purpose of this Tour is to present the city of São João del-Rei in a relaxed and engaging way, through a pleasant walk through the Historic Center. Get to know the culture, knowledge, stories and curiosities that are behind this beautiful scenery of the "City of Bells"! (Limited vacancies).

Itinerary
1. Rua Padre José Maria Xavier
Reception and welcome to participants. Delivery of bottle of mineral water. The Guide will make a brief explanation about the historical context of the formation of Arraial Novo de N. Sra. do Pilar, Vila e Cidade de São João del-Rei (arrival of the Bandeirantes, Guerra dos Emboabas, Quinto do Ouro, Estrada Real, Gentilico, passage of Emperor Dom Pedro II, Railroad EFOM and some expressions).

2. Memorial Tancredo Neves
At this point the guide will talk about the life and career of President Tancredo de Almeida Neves.

Discover the history of the beautiful and historic Municipal Theater of São João del-Rei.

5. Solar da Baronesa de Itaverava
After learning about attractions such as the Chain Bridge and the City Hall, as well as several other historical events, the guide will lead the participants to this manor house, which is of extreme historical and architectural relevance. It has features that make it different from others at that time and for this reason, in 1938 the Solar was listed by IPHAN, and is currently the Cultural Center of the Federal University of São João del-Rei.

Great representative of Brazilian colonial art, containing rich decoration in gilded carving, paintings and statuary, the Basilica Cathedral of Nossa Senhora do Pilar was listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN). Beautiful place to visit.
