Itinerary

1. Zocalo
We will see a square surrounded by the National Palace, Supreme Court of Justice, and silversmith shops.
Duration: 15 mins
2. Catedral Metropolitana de la Ciudad de Mexico
We will explain from the outside the great history about the construction and origin of the cathedral, as well as Baroque and neoclassical architecture.
Duration: 10 mins
3. Museo del Templo Mayor
We will see outside the archaeological ruins of the Templo Mayor dedicated to the god of rain and the god of the sun. We will understand its importance for the Mexicas and we will understand the geographical distribution.
4. Museo Vivo del Muralismo
We will explore the interior of the Ministry of Education, where there is a third of the murals that Diego Rivera painted throughout his career. We will see festivals, traditions, social struggle, trade and politics of the early 20th century

5. Plaza de Santo Domingo
We will visit this square that witnesses the most important events of the viceroyalty of New Spain, as well as the trade of spices and products with Asia, the holy inquisition and the attempts of France to conquer Mexico.

In this square we will stop to rest in the shadows and talk about topics such as: indigenous languages, the tradition of the day of the dead, music, politics, gastronomy, each guide will share with you valuable information. In addition we will see the equestrian statue of Charles IV better known as "the little horse", also the exterior of the National Museum of Art and the Mining Palace.
