1. Half an hour drive from Amsterdam city, in the middle of the authentic Dutch countryside, you will find Zaanse Schans. Covered with water, cows grazing the fresh grasses, colorful flowers and green-timbered houses, Zaanse Schans is home to what some call the Eighth Wonder of the World: the historic 18th-century windmills. Along the river Zaan, these robust windmills are lined up facing the direction from where they catch wind. Your personal chauffeur will present you with historical and cultural explanation.
