Universal Mega Movie Summer is a cool new event happening this summer in L.A. It kicks off on Friday, June 13, and runs every day until Sunday, August 10, 2025. This event is all about giving guests fun ways to “cool off,” “chill with buddies,” and “celebrate in the park.”
Summer just got a lot more exciting! Universal Studios Hollywood’s Executive Chef Julia Thrash has created some unique menu options, and there is also a fresh collection of exclusive merchandise, including clothing and toys. Everyone can look forward to Universal Mega Movie Summer, filled with special themed offerings just for the fans.
Jurassic World Rebirth transforms imagination into reality with its exhilarating dinosaur-themed ride. Prepare for a breathtaking 84-foot plunge at the ride's grand finale, accompanied by the fearsome roar of a Mosasaurus. Guests will also encounter four new Spitter dinosaurs while water geysers erupt, giving surprising showers.
A charming new dinosaur from Jurassic World Rebirth will join Blue the Velociraptor, Juliet the Triceratops, and Baby Tango. These lifelike creatures will engage guests, along with a new character. A large Spinosaurus photo op will give guests a thrilling, SNS-worthy scene, and a scavenger hunt with Compy will keep everyone entertained.
To celebrate 50 years of Jaws, Universal Studios Hollywood is bringing back that awesome hanging shark! You’ll also get the chance to snap a photo with this huge sculpture. And if you're a fan, you can meet Captain Quint and Chief Brody, too! On the Studio Tour, keep an eye out for Jaws near the Hollywood Sign replica and check out the Jaws Lake attraction as it gears up for some July 4th fun all summer long.
For the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future, the legendary Time Machine will be displayed in the theme park's Upper Lot near Mel’s Diner. Characters Doc Brown, Marty McFly, and Einstein the Dog will greet guests and pose for photos.
Fans of Universal Pictures' blockbuster "Wicked" can greet Elphaba and Glinda at the park's Wicked-themed photo opportunity near the entrance.
Cool news! A giant 3D sculpture of Toothless from Universal Pictures and DreamWorks' "How to Train Your Dragon" is setting up shop in Universal Plaza, timed perfectly with the movie’s release on June 13. This lifelike dragon weighs a hefty 730 pounds and stands about 6 feet tall, while measuring 24 feet long and 8 feet wide.
You can bet that everyone posing next to Toothless will feel like they're soaring across the Isle of Berk with their favorite dragon.
Jurassic Cafe is excited to introduce a selection of new prehistoric culinary delights. Isla Nublar will also unveil innovative cocktails, including The Jurassic Water Rebirth and Spicy Jurassic Pearadise. Don't miss these dino-licious treats!
Located at the main entry of the theme park, Hollywood & Dine will turn into Amity Island Cafe, with a menu centered around great white sharks. Menu highlights include Lobster Roll, Vegan Crab Cake Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Fish and Chicken Basket, Shark Bait Burger, Shark Fin Funnel Cake, Amity Island Parfait, and Amity Beach Lifesaver Donut. Also featured are The Shark Bite cocktail and Amity Open Water, a non-alcoholic drink.
With its nostalgic theme, Mel’s Diner serves dishes like the Flux Capacitor Patty Melt, Time Machine Pastrami Melt, Doc Brown’s Chicken Pot Pie, Outatime Cookie, Time Traveler’s Milk Shake, Flux Capacitor Mocktail, and Wake Up Juice Cocktail, all inspired by Back to the Future.
To celebrate Universal Studios Hollywood's Mega Movie Summer, Universal CityWalk is also offering limited-time entertainment, food items, and merchandise.
At Voodoo Doughnut, indulge in the whimsically named Doughnut Go In the Water, inspired by Jaws, along with the delicious Little Stepper and Big Stepper treats derived from Jurassic World Rebirth.
