Overview
Immerse in Kyoto's culture with a self-guided tour of the Myoshinji Temple and local cuisine. Myoshinji is a temple complex in Kyoto, known to be the head temple of Rinzai Zen Buddhism. Formerly a palace, Emperor Hanazono donated the area to become a temple in 1342. Taizo-in, the oldest sub-temple in the Moyshinji, was founded in 1404 by a Zen priest and is known for its gardens and ink paintings. Complete the tour with a local lunch at Hanagokoro.
